We’re going to the South by Southwest conference this week. Stephen is doing the Interactive and Web Design part and I’m kidnapping Rachel to do the Film part with me. One of the guest speakers is Helen Hunt who is making her directorial debut with a film there. I’ve been thinking that Helen and I would be sitting down for a heart to heart chat where I could recite my favorite lines from Mad About You, ask her how heavy her Oscar is etc. However, I’ve come to realize that this is the biggest event that the city of Austin has every year and I have a better chance of being trampled than of getting within 100 yards of a celebrity.

I’m mostly excited about the weather!!! It’s 70 degrees down there. And the food. I love vacations for an excuse to eat different kinds of food. The music part of the festival is a huge deal so maybe we’ll get to experience some of that too.
